Jeon Ji Hyun started her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 16 when she began modeling for Echo Magazine in 1997. She gained recognition through modeling and started acting in a few TV sitcoms. In 1999, she debuted in her first film called White Valentine. Ji Hyun breakthrough came in 2001 when she starred as “The Girl” in the highest grossing Korean comedy movie of all time called “My Sassy Girl.” The movie was an international sensation and remakes of the film was made in China, Japan, India, and Hollywood. She was awarded as the “Best Actress” in the 2002 Grand Bell Awards for My Sassy Girl.
